At Happy Hearts we are passionate about bringing healing and empowerment to the most vulnerable in war zones. We are so proud of the many women we have helped, who have faced harrowing challenges with so much courage. Some fled from being stoned to death by militia groups, ostracized by society or even forced to abort their babies. Many faced severe persecution for out of wedlock pregnancies, even though they often resulted from rape. We are also proud of the many foster mothers who have taken in abandoned babies as their very own. They are truly our heroes! Over this last year many of them completed vocational training which enabled them to start new independent lives, such as henna classes, tailoring school and more recently, business skills.
